OVERVIEW · Customized instruction Strategies using “Research Evidence” to gain an understanding of the individual’s reading process. · Lessons planned to focus on areas of need revealed through assessment and observation; measure a child’s progress and identify areas of strength and concern that may need special and intensive instruction. · Methods and activities that link essential reading and writing skills to real reading. · Reading instruction that is relevant and sensitive to individuals. · Instruction to help students achieve Alaska’s Performance Standards (Grade Level Expectations). |

Requirements & Fees;
Minimum 2 hours/week
Prefer 3 hours minimum for 3rd grade and up ( 2 — 1.5 hour/sessions)
Fees start at $50.00 per hour.
One on One plus Small Group Instruction (Max 3 per group)
Homeschooled Students Welcome AM hours available |

LITERATURE LINKS FOR TOTS (4+)
‘Developmental Reading Methods & Activities’ implemented by linking them to children’s literature. Reading skills become much more meaningful when they are connected to a favorite book.
Experience the sense in written language, the sense of rhyming, the sense of stories, the sense of songs, and the way sentences and stories work.
